I came across a really good article on Likeable Media the other day. The author does a great job breaking down what small and very small business owners may want to consider when thinking about their business, brand or product’s social media strategy.
Each time there is an enhancement to Facebook, the first question on everyone’s mind is privacy and security. When Facebook’s new Graph Search function was announced on January 15, 2013, it was certainly mine. I am one of those people that takes particular care in what people can view on my profile page and set my security levels accordingly; so will this new “innovation” undo all of that?
Facebook recently rolled out “Get Notifications”—a new feature for fans who don’t want to miss out on their favorite brands’ or company’s updates. It is activated when a user goes a page they already Like (are a Fan of), such as our Facebook Page, hovers over the “Liked” button and selects “Get Notifications.” They will receive a Facebook notification every time The 23 Company publishes a Status Update.
A couple of cool new features were rolled out in the world of facebook today: Page Administrator Roles, Page Post Scheduling and Promoted Posts.
Page admins can now have 5 different roles, each with different abilities. Only managers can change what kind of admin someone is. All admins are managers by default. This is a nice feature if you allow key folks to act as admins as you can now restrict their access to a level that you are comfortable with.
